Carbon Filters

What does a carbon filter do?

A carbon filter uses activated carbon to capture odour-causing particles as air passes through your ventilation system. Installed alongside an inline exhaust fan, it helps improve air quality while reducing unwanted smells in indoor growing environments.

Carbon filters are a key component of an effective grow room ventilation setup, supporting consistent airflow and a cleaner growing space.

Benefits of activated carbon filters

• Helps reduce odours from indoor growing spaces.
• Works with inline fans and exhaust ventilation systems.
• Supports efficient airflow throughout grow tents and grow rooms.
• Available in multiple sizes to suit different ventilation requirements.
• Suitable for hobby gardens through to larger growing environments.

How to choose the right carbon filter

Select a carbon filter that matches the airflow capacity of your inline fan and the size of your growing area.

• Match fan capacity: Choose a filter with an airflow rating compatible with your exhaust fan.
• Select the correct flange size: Ensure the filter fits your ducting and ventilation system.
• Consider grow room size: Larger spaces generally require higher-capacity filtration.
• Complete the system: Pair your filter with quality ducting, clamps and an inline fan for optimal performance.

Maintain your ventilation system

Regularly inspect your carbon filter, ducting and inline fan to keep your ventilation system operating efficiently. Replacing filters when recommended by the manufacturer and keeping airflow unobstructed will help maintain consistent performance over time.
