Organic Soil - Use ½ to 1 scoop per liter of water. Use weekly throughout the vegetative & flowering stages for best results.
Hydroponic / Water Cultivation - Use ½ scoop per liter of water. Use fortnightly for best results. For best results use in agitated/active systems. If using passive hydroponics, replace the solution with fresh water after 48hrs.
Propagation - Use 1/4 scoop per liter of water & drench your growing media thoroughly. Repeat when the first signs of roots appear.
Foliar Spray - Use ½ scoop per liter of water. Spray plants at night & allow to rest 10 hours. Use fortnightly for best results. May stain some surfaces.

Can’t believe the difference
Have been using a high grade potting mix plants have not been happy slow growth and just not looking healthy. So I took them out of pots removed about a third of the old dirt from the bottom and anything that fell off the top and sides cleaned out the pot put turbo dirt in the bottom put a scoop of roids on the bottom and a tad more turbo dirt over it and sprinkled some transplant powder on the soil at about a third of the way up refilling with turbo dirt and then sprinkled another scope of root roids and some powder down the sides topped up with turbo dirt and a slight top dress and just before the top dress another scope of root roids and then covered with about 20 mm more turbo 2 lts of water. I could see a difference in 2 days could see a darker green coming up through the leaves in a week they where no longer sick and now 2 weeks later it’s like a different garden I can see daily grow. Can’t believe how much difference turbo dirt made thanks for your help.
Thanks Wayne! That’s an absolute ripper of a review—stoked to hear the garden’s loving the Turbo Dirt and Root Roids. Sounds like you’ve given those plants the royal treatment, mate! Appreciate you sharing your results and the play-by-play. Here’s to happy, healthy plants and plenty more green days ahead!

Absolutely love everything Dr Greenthumbs (heck my keyboard wants always wants to autocorrect to this name)!
Thanks Timothy! Love hearing your keyboard's as hooked as you are—cheers for the awesome feedback and for backing the Dr Greenthumbs crew! Hope your plants are absolutely thriving, legend!
Root Roids is loaded with beneficial microbes — like mycorrhizal fungi and nutrient-solubilizing bacteria — that form a symbiotic relationship with your plant’s roots. This massively increases the root surface area, boosts nutrient and water uptake, and improves resistance to stress and disease. Think of it as a probiotic for your plants — supercharging growth, root development, and overall plant health.
Yes! Root Roids works beautifully in soil, coco coir, compost mixes, and even hydroponic systems. The application method changes slightly depending on your setup, but it’s designed to complement all types of media — not replace them.
Absolutely. Root Roids is a biological additive, not a standalone fertilizer. It doesn’t supply enough N-P-K nutrients on its own. Keep using your regular feed schedule — Root Roids will make those nutrients more available and effective.
Yes! Many growers find their plants hit maturity about a week faster. By boosting root development early, plants grow more vigorously, which can shave 7–10 days off your veg time and get you flowering sooner.
It’s super easy:
Soil or Coco: Mix ½ to 1 scoop per litre of water. Apply once a week.
Hydroponics: ½ scoop per litre every two weeks.
Organic Living Soil: ½ to 1 scoop per litre weekly.
Seedlings & Clones: ¼ scoop per litre once roots form.
Foliar Spray (optional): ½ scoop per litre every two weeks, applied at night.
Pre-moisten your soil before applying so the solution spreads evenly. Avoid excessive runoff to get the most out of each dose.
Yes — stop using Root Roids about a week before your final flush to avoid wasting product. Also, adjust your nutrient pH before adding Root Roids. It may slightly raise the pH, but that balances out in the root zone.
Hydro growers often see a 15–25% reduction in fertilizer use because the microbes make nutrients more available. Root Roids also outcompetes harmful organisms, keeps the root zone healthy, and leads to more robust roots, better flower quality, and higher yields.
Many growers see noticeable differences — like perkier leaves and new root growth — within 48 hours of the first dose. Weekly use builds on that effect over time.
Yes, but use it carefully. Because it contains organic extracts, it can leave light brown stains if over-sprayed on some surfaces. Always spray at night or with lights off, let plants dry for 10 hours, and wipe up any overspray promptly.
100%! Root Roids is 100% natural and safe for vegetables, herbs, fruit trees, ornamentals, houseplants, and even phosphorus-sensitive natives. It won’t burn plants and actually enhances flavor, nutrition, and resilience in edibles.
Definitely. Just use a lighter dose — ¼ scoop per litre — to soak your seedling trays or cuttings. Introducing microbes early helps roots establish faster and improves transplant success.
Watering it in is most effective because it distributes microbes evenly. You can sprinkle a bit into transplant holes too. If you prefer a dry-mix option, try our Root Roids Granules (blue packet), which is made for mixing into soil.
Yes! It’s fully compatible with enzymes, microbial products, bloom boosters, and more. Just avoid strong sterilizers like hydrogen peroxide or UV filters, as those can kill the beneficial microbes.
Black Packet: Fine powder with fungi, bacteria, kelp, amino acids, and more. Water-soluble and applied weekly. Not suitable for direct root contact on ALL plants, best mixed with water to the instructions specs.
Blue Packet (Granular): Pure mycorrhizal inoculant in granular form. Applied dry once at planting or top-dressed throughout the seasons.
Shake (Shaker Bottle): A transplant booster dusted directly onto roots without the risk of burn.
You don’t need all three — choose the one that fits your style. Most growers prefer the black powder for its all-around benefits.
Yes! Root Roids is extremely concentrated, with hundreds of thousands of active spores per gram. That’s why you only need about ½ to 1 teaspoon per litre — more isn’t necessary and just wastes product.
One level scoop is about 4–5 grams, or roughly a teaspoon. That’s enough for 1 litre of water at the standard dose.
It may raise the pH of your water slightly, but it won’t affect soil pH in a meaningful way. Adjust your nutrient solution’s pH first, then add Root Roids. The microbes also help stabilize root zone pH over time. The ingredients causing this pH rise in your water is the humic acids and kelp extracts.
Yes. Beneficial fungi and bacteria in Root Roids can help suppress pathogens that cause root rot and other diseases.
Absolutely. By improving root function, Root Roids reduces transplant shock and helps plants handle drought and heat stress more effectively. It’s especially useful for young plants and during harsh growing conditions.
Root Roids stays potent for about 12 months after opening. Keep it in a cool, dry, dark place, sealed tightly, and away from moisture and heat. Unopened, it can last 18 months.
We offer a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you’re not happy with the results, return it (with at least half the contents remaining) within 30 days for a full refund. We’re confident you’ll love it — but we want you to feel confident too.
Root Roids is safe and non-toxic. It’s just beneficial microbes and organic materials. As with any fine powder, avoid inhaling dust, wash your hands after use, and wear gloves or a mask if you’re sensitive. It can stain clothes slightly, so shake off any spills before washing.
