Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key ingredients in Root Roids and how do they benefit plant growth?

Root Roids is a blend of Mycorrhizae and Nutrient Solubilizing Bacteria, which create colonies of living soil microorganisms in the root zone. This enhances nutrient absorption, leading to faster growth rates, stronger plants, and a healthier root system.

Can Root Roids be used with any type of growing media?

Yes, Root Roids is designed for use with various growing media. It’s perfect for Coco and Soil growers, and can also be used in Hydroponic/Water Cultivation and Organic Soil. The application method varies slightly depending on the media.

How does Root Roids affect the vegetative growth period of plants?

Growers have reported a 7-10 day reduction in the vegetative growth period with Root Roids. This is due to the product’s ability to significantly increase plant growth and vigor.

Are there any special instructions for using Root Roids in Coco Coir?

When growing in Coco Coir, it’s recommended to stop using Root Roids one week before the flush period. Additionally, Root Roids should be added last when mixing with nutrient solutions, after pH adjustment of the tank.

How should Root Roids be applied for the best results?

For Coco Coir/Soil Less Media and Organic Soil, use ½ to 1 scoop per liter of water weekly throughout the vegetative and flowering stages. In Hydroponic systems, use ½ scoop per liter of water fortnightly. For propagation, use 1/4 scoop per liter of water, and as a foliar spray, use ½ scoop per liter of water fortnightly.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is Root Roids and what does it do?

Root Roids is a microbe-packed root inoculant with mycorrhizae, Bacillus, and Trichoderma. It boosts root growth, improves nutrient uptake, and helps plants bounce back from transplant shock or stress. It’s not a fertiliser—it’s biology that makes your nutrient program work harder.

Which plants and grow styles is Root Roids best for?

Root Roids works in soil, coco, and hydro, and it suits most plant types—vegetables, herbs, ornamentals, and edibles. Avoid in heavy-sterile systems. Brassicas may show limited benefit due to low mycorrhizal response.

When should I start using Root Roids?

Start as early as possible—at seedling, cutting, transplant, or first pot-up. Root contact is key, so apply directly to the root zone or media. For single-use growers, transplant time is the highest-impact moment.

How much Root Roids do I use, and how often?

Use ½–1 scoop per litre weekly in soil or coco, or ½ scoop per litre fortnightly in hydro. For seedlings, go lighter (¼ scoop per litre). Water it in well so microbes reach the roots. Stop in coco one week before flush.

Can I foliar spray Root Roids?

Yes—mix ½ scoop per litre and spray at night to reduce leaf stress. Avoid spraying near walls or porous surfaces, as it may stain. Foliar is optional; root application is more important.

Can I use Root Roids in hydro or irrigation systems?

Yes, but clean systems are essential. In hydro or autopots, don’t let Root Roids sit warm for days. Keep tanks small and fresh, use filters, and maintain flow to avoid clogging or biofilm buildup.

What can I mix with Root Roids?

Root Roids plays well with most base nutrients and compost teas. It already includes mycorrhizae, Trichoderma, and Bacillus, so extra additives are usually unnecessary. Avoid using it alongside sterilants like peroxide or heavy fungicides.

Does Root Roids really help with growth or recovery?

Yes—users often see faster transplant recovery, better root mass, and improved growth within 1–3 weeks. It can help reduce nutrient lockout, drought stress, and even cut fertiliser needs over time (if adjusted slowly).

How should I store Root Roids?

Store Root Roids sealed, cool, and dry. Don’t let moisture into the bag—clumping reduces quality. Avoid scooping with wet tools and keep it out of the sun to preserve microbial viability.

Is Root Roids safe to use around pets, kids, or food crops?

Yes—Root Roids is commonly used on food gardens. Just apply responsibly: store safely, water it in after application, wash hands, and don’t inhale dust. Wash edible produce as usual before eating.
