Glory Pole Totem Moss Pole

What is a Glory Pole Totem Moss Pole?

A Glory Pole Totem Moss Pole is a reusable climbing support that helps replicate the natural growing conditions of tropical climbing plants. It provides a structure for aerial roots to attach to while encouraging plants to grow upright instead of trailing.

The hollow, extendable design can be filled with sphagnum moss or a chunky aroid substrate, allowing you to customise the support as your plant grows.

Benefits of using a Glory Pole Totem Moss Pole

• Supports upright growth for climbing indoor plants.
• Suitable for Monsteras, Philodendrons, Pothos and other aroids.
• Extendable design grows with your plants.
• Reusable season after season.
• Compatible with sphagnum moss or chunky growing media.

Which plants benefit from a moss pole?

Many tropical houseplants naturally climb trees in the wild. A totem moss pole provides the support they need to develop a stronger, more natural growth habit indoors.

• Monstera: Encourages upright growth and supports larger, mature foliage.
• Philodendron: Ideal for climbing varieties with aerial roots.
• Pothos and Epipremnum: Helps train vines vertically while saving space.
• Other climbing aroids: Suitable for many tropical indoor plants that benefit from additional support.

How to use a Glory Pole Totem Moss Pole

• Install the pole when potting or repotting your plant.
• Fill the pole with sphagnum moss or your preferred chunky substrate if desired.
• Secure stems gently using soft plant ties as the plant climbs.
• Extend the pole as your plant grows taller.
• Pair with a well-draining aroid potting mix to encourage healthy root development.
