Base Nutrients

What are base nutrients?

Base nutrients are the core of any plant feeding program, supplying the primary nutrients required for healthy development throughout the growing cycle. They provide essential nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and trace elements that support strong roots, vigorous vegetative growth and productive flowering.

Whether you're growing indoors or outdoors, quality base nutrients help create a consistent foundation that can be tailored with additives when required.

Choosing the right hydroponic base nutrients

The ideal nutrient depends on your growing medium, irrigation system and stage of plant growth.

• A&B nutrients: Two-part formulations that provide balanced nutrition while helping prevent nutrient lockout.
• Grow nutrients: Formulated to support leafy vegetative growth and strong plant structure.
• Bloom nutrients: Designed to meet changing nutrient requirements during flowering and fruiting.
• One-part nutrients: Convenient feeding solutions for a wide range of growing systems.

Why quality base nutrients matter

• Provide essential macro and micronutrients for healthy plant development.
• Support strong root systems and vigorous growth.
• Promote consistent flowering and fruit production.
• Suitable for hydroponics, coco and many other growing media.
• Create the foundation for a complete nutrient program.

Build a complete feeding program

Base nutrients supply the essential nutrition plants require, while specialised additives can be introduced to support root development, flowering or overall plant performance. Always follow the recommended feeding schedule for your chosen nutrient range and adjust nutrient strength to suit your plants and growing conditions.
