Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Growth Technology Root Zone and how does it work?

Growth Technology Root Zone is a root-enhancing additive used alongside your regular fertiliser. It supports stronger root growth, better nutrient uptake, and faster recovery from stress. It doesn’t replace your fertiliser but complements it to promote healthier plants overall.

Can I use Growth Technology Root Zone in soil, coco, hydro, or semi-hydro setups?

Yes, Growth Technology Root Zone is compatible with soil, coco coir, hydroponics, and semi-hydroponic setups like LECA. In hydro systems, maintain clean reservoirs to avoid residue buildup.

Is Growth Technology Root Zone safe for all plant types?

Yes, it's suitable for indoor and outdoor plants, including aroids, orchids, succulents, herbs, and veggies. Just adjust watering to the plant’s needs — especially for drought-tolerant species like succulents.

How do I dose and use Growth Technology Root Zone?

Use 0.5 mL per litre for seedlings or cuttings, and 1 mL per litre for established plants. Many users apply it with every watering, year-round. After repotting, start at a lower dose if roots were heavily disturbed.

Can Growth Technology Root Zone help with transplant shock or root rot?

It can support recovery from transplant shock and root stress, but it’s not a cure for overwatering or rot. For root rot, fix drainage and trim affected roots before using Root Zone to support regrowth.

What are signs Growth Technology Root Zone is working?

You may see stronger new growth, quicker recovery after repotting, and more consistent watering behavior. A healthy root system helps plants absorb nutrients better and stay resilient.

What happens if I overuse Growth Technology Root Zone?

Overuse can lead to nutrient buildup or stressed roots. If plants show unusual residue or slowed growth, reduce the dose and flush with plain water occasionally to reset the root zone.

Can I mix Growth Technology Root Zone with other nutrients or supplements?

Yes, it pairs well with most fertilisers, including GT Focus. Add it after your base nutrients. It's also generally compatible with silica, microbes, enzymes, and pest sprays — just avoid mixing concentrates directly.

Does Growth Technology Root Zone affect pH or EC?

It may slightly affect pH like many additives. Always mix everything first, then test and adjust pH/EC if needed — especially in hydro or coco systems where precision matters more.

How should I store Growth Technology Root Zone?

Store it in a cool, dark place. Shake well before use, as natural ingredients can settle. Use diluted solutions promptly — don’t store pre-mixed water for long to avoid spoilage.

Is Growth Technology Root Zone safe around pets and children?

It’s not intended for ingestion. Store it safely out of reach, avoid letting pets drink runoff, and wash hands after use to ensure safety.

Is Growth Technology Root Zone suitable for beginners?

Yes — it’s beginner-friendly, low-risk, and easy to integrate into existing routines. Just follow the dosage guidelines and avoid using it to fix deeper issues like chronic overwatering.
