Important: These four buckets describe product roles — they are not four consecutive stages where you finish one bucket and move to the next. Choose one base nutrient system. Mixing, pH, EC & Monitoring Rules
- Mix in the correct order: Plant Guard → base nutrients → additives → pH adjustment. Add and mix each component before moving to the next.
- Watch the runoff EC: Keep runoff EC no more than 0.4 above the feed solution. The existing guide recommends using a ⅓-strength nutrient solution as a corrective irrigation if the gap becomes larger. Treat this as a high-EC correction, not the same thing as the final finishing/flush period.
- Keep the solution in range: Aim for a solution temperature of 18-22 °C and pH 5.8-6.3 unless the relevant Green Planet schedule or your growing medium requires otherwise.
- Track EC consistently: Check and record feed and runoff EC rather than adjusting nutrient strength from memory. Logging the readings makes it easier to identify upward salt accumulation or plants that are feeding more aggressively.
- Do not automatically increase EC for LEDs or CO₂: Follow the confirmed schedule first. Only apply a higher EC strategy if the Green Planet guidance for your specific lighting, CO₂ level and growing setup supports it.
FAQ
Can I mix Dual Fuel and GP3 together?
No. Both are complete base systems; combining risks lock-out and EC spikes.
Is Rezin a flushing agent?
No. Rezin is used here as a flowering/finishing additive rather than as the product performing the flush itself. Follow the confirmed final-week schedule above and the Green Planet product directions for whether Rezin remains in use during the finishing period.
Do I need Cal-Mag in coco?
Coco requires careful management of calcium and magnesium availability, but whether you need additional ProCal depends on the base program, water source and growing setup. Follow the ProCal guidance in the schedule/product directions above rather than automatically adding a second Ca-Mg product.
