Description

CalCarb is a revolutionary calcium carbonate foliar spray proprietarily-derived from a naturally occurring compound.

It utilizes a new form of nanotechnology which processes the compound to such a fine size that it is able to permeate the foliage of plants. Once inside the cell walls, CO2 is released as both calcium and usable carbon dioxide, increasing photosynthesis levels three-fold.

Both calcium and carbon are critical to plant development. Calcium is generally supplied through the soil and carbon enters the plant as carbon dioxide which is necessary for photosynthesis to occur. CalCarb is a unique form of a simple and very common compound that contains both calcium and carbon. Calcium carbonate or CaCO3 is used in agriculture throughout most of the world to adjust soil pH levels. But CalCarb is an unusual form of calcium carbonate that is highly unstable, converting to calcium oxide (CaO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) rapidly when applied to the foliage.

This unique phenomenon increases calcium availability to plants through the foliage, but more importantly, the CO2 levels directly outside and inside the stomata can rise threefold which is near the optimum for photosynthesis efficiency.

Easily Applied to the Underside of Foliage!

Stress Reduction and Plant Rescue - Forget to water? Didn't remember to bring that tender houseplant in before the first cold snap? If it is not too far gone, treat it with CalCarb and you may be able to rescue it. CalCarb helps in recovery by increasing photosynthesis in the foliage that is not too seriously damaged and by raising the surface pH of damaged foliage which deters airborne pathogens from taking advantage of the weakened cellular tissue.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Xtreme Gardening CalCarb and what does it do?

CalCarb is a foliar calcium carbonate spray that supports strong plant structure, healthier growth, and stress tolerance. It delivers fast-acting calcium directly through the leaves and releases plant-available CO₂ to aid photosynthesis at the leaf surface.

When should I use Xtreme Gardening CalCarb?

Use it during vegetative and flowering stages, especially when plants are growing fast or under heat stress. It’s suitable for indoor and outdoor grows, edible crops, seedlings, and flowering plants. Avoid midday sun for foliar spraying.

Can CalCarb help prevent calcium deficiencies and blossom end rot?

Yes—CalCarb helps deliver calcium directly to leaves and developing fruit, making it useful for preventing issues like blossom end rot or weak stems. It won’t fix already-damaged fruit, but it supports new growth and calcium movement when root uptake is limited.

Does Xtreme Gardening CalCarb replace Cal-Mag?

No—CalCarb is a calcium-only foliar spray. It doesn’t contain magnesium and isn’t meant to replace Cal-Mag. Use it as targeted calcium support when needed, especially if root-zone uptake is inconsistent.

How do I mix and apply Xtreme Gardening CalCarb?

Mix 1 tablespoon per litre of clean water, shake well, and spray early morning or late afternoon. Focus on leaf undersides and avoid drenching. Use filtered water if possible, and avoid applying with other foliar sprays unless tested.

How often should I apply it, and can I overdo it?

Weekly during periods of rapid growth or fruit set is typical. Don’t overspray—excess use can cause heavy white residue, spotting, or imbalance if you’re already feeding high-calcium through roots.

Does CalCarb leave residue on leaves?

Yes—Calcium carbonate can leave a white film after drying. This is normal and harmless. If desired, rinse foliage gently 36 hours after application. Reduce dosage if residue is excessive or unsightly.

Will Xtreme Gardening CalCarb clog my sprayer?

It can if not mixed or agitated properly. Shake well before and during spraying, and flush your sprayer with clean water after each use to prevent buildup or clogs.

How should I store Xtreme Gardening CalCarb?

Store sealed, cool, and dry. Avoid heat or moisture, which can reduce product performance. If it clumps, break it up before mixing. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

Can I mix CalCarb with other sprays or wetting agents?

It’s best applied alone. Mixing with oils, soaps, or silica can cause compatibility issues or leaf damage. Wait 36 hours before applying other foliar products unless you’ve done compatibility tests.

Does weather or humidity affect how CalCarb works?

Yes. Low humidity may dry sprays too fast; high humidity can reduce transpiration. Spray when conditions are mild and leaves stay wet briefly but not soaked for hours.

What’s the simplest way to use CalCarb without overcomplicating it?

Mix 1 tbsp/L in clean water, spray leaf undersides early morning or late arvo, repeat weekly during growth surges or stress, and don’t mix with other foliar sprays. Clean your sprayer straight after use.
