Description

The VIVOSUN AeroFlux Grow Tent Heater 700W is a smart grow tent heater designed to maintain more consistent temperatures during cool weather and lights-off periods. Its PTC heating system offers five output levels, while the included temperature and humidity probe monitors conditions near your plants.

This compact plant heater can be controlled from its local panel or connected to the VIVOSUN app for remote monitoring, scheduling and VPD-based climate control. The included extension hose also allows warm air to be directed into the tent while the main heater remains outside the growing space.

Key benefits

  • 700W PTC heating provides adjustable warmth for enclosed indoor growing spaces.
  • Five output levels help match the heat supply to changing conditions.
  • Included temperature and humidity probe measures conditions in the target growing area.
  • Temperature mode automatically adjusts operation around your selected target.
  • App control supports remote monitoring, day and night schedules and VPD mode.
  • Flexible extension hose provides more control over warm-air placement.
  • Tip-over shut-off and overheat protection stop operation when a fault is detected.
  • Compact 24 × 24 × 12 cm housing takes up minimal space around the grow setup.

Best suited to

  • Grow tents that become too cool overnight or when grow lights are switched off.
  • Indoor propagation, seedling and established plant setups requiring controlled warmth.
  • Growers wanting automated temperature management rather than a basic space heater.
  • VIVOSUN smart grow setups using app-based monitoring and scheduling.
  • Grow spaces up to approximately 150 × 150 × 200 cm, subject to insulation, ventilation and surrounding temperature.

How to use it

  1. Place the heater on a stable, level surface. Install the air outlet and attach the extension hose when required.
  2. Position the warm-air outlet near the bottom of the grow tent without directing hot airflow straight at plants.
  3. Connect the temperature and humidity probe, then secure it near the plants in the area you want to monitor.
  4. Plug the heater directly into a suitable wall outlet and switch it on.
  5. Use the local controls to select a target temperature and maximum output level.
  6. For remote monitoring, schedules or VPD control, connect the AeroFlux to the VIVOSUN app using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Check plant-level conditions with the supplied probe and adjust the output gradually. Tent size, room temperature, ventilation rate and insulation will all affect how much heating is required.

Check before buying

  • The heater is rated at 700W and requires access to a suitable wall outlet.
  • Do not operate it through an extension lead or power board.
  • Local controls support temperature mode; VPD mode and advanced scheduling require the VIVOSUN app.
  • App setup requires 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth enabled on your phone during connection.
  • The stated grow-space coverage is a maximum guide rather than a guaranteed heating result.
  • Keep air inlets and outlets unobstructed and do not direct heated air straight onto foliage.
  • Do not use the heater in wet areas or where it may contact standing water.
  • Keep curtains, fabric and other flammable materials at least one metre from the air outlet.

What is included?

  • VIVOSUN AeroFlux W70 heater
  • Temperature and humidity sensor probe
  • Warm-air outlet
  • Flexible extension hose

FAQs

Can the VIVOSUN AeroFlux be used without the app?

Yes. The local control panel can be used to set a target temperature and maximum heating level. The app is required for VPD mode, remote monitoring and programmed day and night settings.

What size grow tent can this 700W heater support?

VIVOSUN specifies grow spaces up to approximately 150 × 150 × 200 cm. Effective coverage depends on the surrounding temperature, tent insulation, airflow and the temperature increase required.

Can the heater sit outside the grow tent?

Yes. The supplied extension hose can direct warm air through a tent opening while the heater is positioned outside, provided the heater is stable and airflow remains unobstructed.

What does VPD mode do?

VPD mode uses temperature and humidity readings from the probe to adjust heating around a selected vapour pressure deficit target. This mode is configured through the VIVOSUN app.

Choose the VIVOSUN AeroFlux Grow Tent Heater 700W when your indoor garden needs adjustable heating, plant-level environmental monitoring and app-based climate control in one compact unit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the VIVOSUN AeroFlux Grow Tent Heater designed for?

The AeroFlux is built to maintain stable warmth in grow tents, especially during cold seasons or lights-off cycles. Its 700W output suits small to medium spaces, and it includes features that make it effective for seedlings, propagation, and minimizing temperature swings.

How is the AeroFlux different from a regular space heater?

Unlike standard heaters, the AeroFlux is built for grow tents. It uses PTC heating with 5 adjustable heat levels, offers precision control, integrates with smart features, and includes safety elements tailored to enclosed grow environments.

What is VPD mode, and why does it matter?

VPD (vapor pressure deficit) mode balances temperature and humidity to support healthy plant transpiration. This gives more precise climate control than temperature alone and helps prevent conditions that slow growth or cause stress.

Do I need the VIVOSUN app to use the AeroFlux?

No. You can run the heater in temperature mode using local controls. However, VPD mode, day/night scheduling, and remote monitoring require the app and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. The unit also supports GrowHub integration if you use other VIVOSUN smart gear.

Where should I place the heater and the probe in the tent?

Position the heater near the floor with airflow directed away from plants. The included probe should be placed close to your plants to ensure accurate climate readings and effective control.

Can the heater be installed outside the grow tent?

Yes. The AeroFlux includes a flexible hose that lets you route warm air through a tent port while keeping the heater body outside, as long as airflow isn’t obstructed and the setup is stable.

Does the heater support remote monitoring and scheduling?

Yes. Using the app, you can set custom day/night recipes, monitor conditions remotely, and automate climate responses. This adds advanced functionality beyond manual temperature control.

Is the VIVOSUN AeroFlux safe for enclosed grow spaces?

Yes. It includes tip-over shutoff, overheat protection, and a flame-retardant casing. The manual also outlines safe clearances and prohibits use with extension cords or in wet areas to ensure safety in tent setups.

Can the AeroFlux affect humidity in the tent?

Yes. Like any heater, it can reduce relative humidity by warming the air. The AeroFlux manages this better than most thanks to VPD monitoring, but in dry environments you may still need to add humidity separately.

What is the recommended environment for the AeroFlux?

The heater operates best in temperatures between 32–95°F (0–35°C) and humidity levels of 35%–85% RH. It’s designed for indoor grow tents and should not be used near standing water or in wet conditions.

What’s included with the VIVOSUN AeroFlux heater?

The package includes the heater unit, temperature and humidity probe, warm air outlet, and extension hose—everything needed to set up direct or hose-based airflow in your tent.

How big is the VIVOSUN AeroFlux?

It measures 9.45" x 9.45" x 4.72", making it compact enough for tight tent spaces while still delivering effective warmth and airflow control.

What happens if the heater shows an error code?

The heater will shut off and display E1 for tip-over or E2 for overheating. If this occurs, fix the root cause—such as repositioning or improving ventilation—before restarting the unit.

Can I use an extension cord or power strip with this heater?

No. The manual clearly states to plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Using extension cords or power strips can create fire or malfunction risks in enclosed grow setups.

Is the AeroFlux a good choice if I just want simple heat?

If you only need basic warmth, a simpler heater may suffice. But if you want smart controls, environmental accuracy, and safety features built for tents, the AeroFlux offers far more targeted performance.
