What does the thermostat do, and how do I use it properly?

The thermostat cycles the mat on/off to hold your target temp (20–42°C) and supports both °C and °F. It can be calibrated and used with other compatible heaters up to 1000W. Always keep the controller dry and elevated from moisture.

Where should I place the thermostat probe for best results?

Insert the probe into the growing medium at root depth—not on the mat or in the air. This ensures accurate temperature control. Set a temperature based on your seed type, typically in the low–mid 20s°C for most vegetables.

Is The Seed Starter bundle good for all types of seeds?

Yes—it’s excellent for heat-loving seeds like tomatoes, chillies, and peppers. For cool-season crops like lettuce, use a lower setpoint or skip bottom heat. If you need two different temps at once, a second setup may be required.
