Chlorine in tap water can be a major threat to your plants. Sure, it's added to kill germs and purify the water, but it can lead to sickly plants with yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and even death.
Filtering out this harmful chemical is a simple yet crucial step to keeping your green friends healthy and thriving. By removing chlorine, you'll give your plants access to pure and safe water, promoting growth and preventing stress. Plus, filtered water also prevents the buildup of chlorine in the soil, which can disrupt the uptake of nutrients. In short, filtering chlorine is a must for plant health and happiness.

Why is chlorine in tap water harmful to plants?
Chlorine in tap water can be detrimental to plants as it is added to kill germs and purify water, but it can harm plants by causing yellowing leaves, stunted growth, and potentially death. Chlorine can also disrupt the nutrient uptake by accumulating in the soil.
What are the benefits of using a filter to remove chlorine from water for plants?
Removing chlorine from water through filtering promotes healthy growth and reduces stress in plants. It ensures that the water is pure and safe, enhancing the plant's ability to absorb nutrients and preventing the harmful buildup of chlorine in the soil.
How does the water filter attach and how does it work?
The water filter easily attaches to your garden hose. It's designed to instantly remove chlorine and sediment, making it ideal for organic living soil growers and compost tea brewing. It also makes water safe for mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria.
What are the guidelines for using and maintaining the water filter?
For maximum efficiency, use a flow rate of 2L per minute. Connect the inlet to the marked end and run the unit for 2 minutes upon first use to settle the filter. Store the filter upright for drainage and replace it after 12 months of use. The filter is not meant to be dragged around; it's better used to fill containers.
What are the differences between the 10" and 12" models, and what is the CHLORAMINE option?
The 10" model treats up to 5000L of water, while the 12" model can handle 8000L. A new CHLORAMINE option is available, offering additional filtering capabilities, though it's in limited availability. This option should be selected based on specific needs.

This is great stuff and my plants are thriving in it. Will never buy potting mix from Bunnings again - their lines of so-called premium potting soils are a mix of are a mix god-knows-what recycled rubbish (painted wood chips, plastic fragments, who knows maybe even fibre) usually with a strong dose of fungus gnat larvae thrown in.
Highly recommend this Dr Greenthumbs premium potting soil - only tip - maybe get some extra perlite on the side to mix in as needed especially if you have larger pots.
