Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer used for?

It’s a plug-in timer built specifically for grow lights. You choose either an 18/6 cycle (Grow) or 12/12 cycle (Bloom), and the timer handles the rest—no segments or programming menus required.

How do I set the light schedule on the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer?

Plug it into power at the exact time you want your lights to turn on, then press either Grow or Bloom mode. It will repeat that cycle daily from the same start time.

How do I switch between Grow and Bloom mode?

Press the button for the new mode—Grow (18/6) or Bloom (12/12). The cycle will switch from that moment forward. For the cleanest transition, change modes at your intended “lights on” time.

Can the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer run LED or HID grow lights?

Yes—it works with most LED setups and can run HID lights as long as the total load stays under 2400W. For large HID systems with high inrush current, use a contactor for safety.

What is the max power rating for the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer?

Up to 2400W (about 10A on standard AU mains). Always keep a safety buffer, especially when running multiple fixtures or motors. Don’t daisy-chain overloaded power boards.

Will the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer keep its schedule during a power outage?

Yes—it has a built-in backup battery designed to maintain timing through short power outages. If the outage is long enough to drain the battery, you may need to replug it and press Grow or Bloom again.

What other devices can the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer control?

It can power fans, heaters, or extraction equipment under 2400W. For watering systems or CO₂ gear, the preset cycles may not be ideal—those usually need more precise or shorter intervals.

Can I use the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer for non-grow setups?

Yes—if you need a simple 12/12 or 18/6 cycle (e.g., aquarium lights or reptile enclosures), it works well. For more customized schedules, a programmable timer is better suited.

How is TimeTastic different from analogue or digital timers?

Analogue and digital timers allow for custom on/off intervals. TimeTastic skips the setup hassle and gives you instant access to two preset grow cycles with a single button press.

Can I run multiple lights or use a powerboard with the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer?

You can, as long as the total load stays under 2400W and the powerboard is rated accordingly. For big rooms, use TimeTastic to trigger a contactor instead of running full load through it.

Is the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer weatherproof or mountable?

It's best treated as indoor gear. Keep it dry and elevated—ideally outside the tent or in a lung room. Some versions are mountable, but always avoid splash zones and humidifier mist.

Why is my TimeTastic Easy Set Timer running off-schedule?

It was likely plugged in at the wrong time, or a power outage disrupted the cycle. To reset, unplug the timer, wait a moment, replug at your intended “lights on” time, then press Grow or Bloom.

Does the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer support frequent resets or changes?

Yes, but if you're often changing your cycle, a programmable timer might be a better fit. That said, the simplicity of TimeTastic makes resets quick and easy.

Does the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer make any ticking noise?

No—it’s not a mechanical dial timer, so there’s no ticking. It's quiet, making it suitable for bedrooms or low-noise grow setups.

Is the TimeTastic Easy Set Timer good for beginners?

Absolutely. If you want a fast, reliable way to run a basic Grow or Bloom schedule without the learning curve, TimeTastic is about as foolproof as timers get.
