Nutrient Starter Kits

What are nutrient starter kits?

Nutrient starter kits bring together a selection of compatible plant nutrients and supplements in one convenient package. Rather than choosing each product individually, you can begin with a coordinated feeding program suited to your preferred growing method.

Many kits include base nutrients along with complementary products such as root stimulants, Cal-Mag supplements or flowering additives, depending on the brand and formulation.

What's included in a nutrient starter kit?

• Base nutrients: The foundation of your regular feeding program.
• Root stimulants: Commonly included for propagation and early growth.
• Growth and flowering additives: Selected to complement different stages of plant development.
• Cal-Mag supplements: Included in selected kits where recommended by the manufacturer.
• Feeding schedules: Many brands provide guides to help with product application.

How to choose the right nutrient starter kit

Choose a kit that matches your growing medium, experience level and preferred nutrient brand.

• Hydroponics: Select kits formulated for hydroponic systems.
• Coco coir: Choose nutrient programs designed specifically for coco.
• Soil gardens: Look for products suitable for soil-grown plants.
• New growers: Starter kits simplify feeding by providing compatible products in one package.

Getting the best from your nutrient kit

• Follow the manufacturer's feeding schedule and mixing instructions.
• Measure nutrients accurately before adding them to water.
• Monitor pH and EC where appropriate for your growing system.
• Adjust your feeding routine according to your plants' stage of growth.
• Store nutrient products in a cool, dry place between uses.
