What’s included in The Root Rescue Bundle and what does it do?
The bundle includes Root Roids (1kg), Boost (500g), Fruit Roids (1kg), and a 10" Chlorine & Sediment Remover. It’s designed to build strong, resilient roots using beneficial microbes and protect them by removing chlorine from tap water, which can harm soil biology. It’s ideal for growers who want to support microbial life at every stage.
Is The Root Rescue Bundle only for living soil?
No—it works in soil, coco, hydro, autopots, and even indoor or passive systems. It’s great for seedlings, transplants, veggie gardens, ornamentals, and fruit trees. Just adjust your rates and methods based on plant age and media type. It also pairs well with compost, teas, mulch, and IPM routines.
What does each product in the bundle do?
Root Roids contains mycorrhizae and bacteria to boost root uptake. Boost adds bacillus for nutrient efficiency and resilience. Fruit Roids supports flowering, density, and oil expression. Use Root Roids and Boost during early growth and transplant, and bring in Fruit Roids when flowering begins.
When and how should I use Root Roids, Boost, and Fruit Roids?
Apply Root Roids and Boost at transplant, early veg, or during stress—aim for direct root contact or water them in. Use Fruit Roids at flower initiation and continue through flowering. Mix fresh each time, use separately or together, and don’t store diluted solutions. Topdressing is fine if watered in properly.
Can I foliar spray any of the Roids products?
It’s not the primary method. Root Roids and Boost work best in the root zone. If you foliar spray, patch test and avoid flowers. Fruit Roids is usually used via the roots—foliar is possible but less common and should be done carefully.
Can I use Roids products with other fertilisers or inputs?
Yes—Roids are enhancers, not base nutrients. They work well with compost teas, IPM sprays, and biological inputs. Just avoid mixing with hydrogen peroxide, fungicides, or harsh sterilising agents that kill microbes. If using strong synthetics, reduce rates and monitor plant response.
Do Roids affect pH, EC, or cause nutrient burn?
They may shift pH or EC slightly—especially in hydro or coco—so always mix, then test. They’re not salt-based, but overuse can still cause issues. Start with light doses and increase based on plant feedback. Avoid stacking with too many other inputs at once.
Why aren’t I seeing results with the Roids products?
The most common issues are lack of root contact, using sterilising inputs, or poor environmental conditions (e.g. overwatering, low oxygen). Microbes need time, oxygen, and a friendly zone. You’ll usually see compounding benefits with consistent use, not instant miracles.
What does the Chlorine & Sediment Remover filter do?
It removes chlorine and sediment from tap water, protecting your microbes and keeping compost teas and root zones alive. It treats roughly 5000L, depending on water quality. It’s perfect for brewing teas, filling hydro tanks, or hand-watering your grow.
How do I install and maintain the chlorine filter?
Mount it securely at your tap, not hanging from the hose. Run water through slowly for best chlorine removal. Replace the cartridge if flow drops or chlorine smell returns. Don’t leave it baking in full sun—UV and heat can damage seals and shorten lifespan.
