Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the Pro Grow Clone & Seedling Tent Combo and what’s included?

This is a ready-to-go propagation kit that includes a Pro Grow Clone Tent (70x45x70cm), a dimmable 60W LED light bar, Seahawk heat mat, and thermostat. It’s beginner-friendly and designed to simplify seed starting and cloning. Dome and tray are not included but can be added separately.

What plants can I grow with the Pro Grow Clone & Seedling Tent Combo?

It’s ideal for houseplant cuttings, leafy greens, and veggie seedlings. You can also use it for early veg stages. Flowering is possible but limited due to tent height and light intensity.

What are the tent's size and build features?

The tent measures 70cm x 45cm x 70cm and is made of heavy-duty 600D lightproof Mylar. It includes ducting ports, insect mesh vents, a removable waterproof floor with a raised drain bar, internal storage, and fits well on shelves or benches.

What kind of light is included in the combo?

The Pro Grow Model X 60W LED is a 6500K vegetative-spectrum bar, ideal for seedlings and clones. It’s dimmable, silent, cool-running, and produces around 140 μmol/s. You can run it 18/6 or 24/0, but 18/6 is a solid baseline.

What’s the role of the included heat mat and thermostat?

The Seahawk heat mat warms the root zone for faster germination and rooting. The thermostat ensures consistent, safe temps (commonly mid-20s °C). Always place the probe near the tray to prevent overheating or bad readings.

How do I set up the Pro Grow Clone & Seedling Tent Combo?

Assemble the frame and skin, hang the light, place the mat and tray, insert the thermostat probe near root level, and route cables through the ports. Set light timing and thermostat target temperature before starting your grow.

Do I need extra airflow or exhaust with this setup?

A small clip fan is recommended to encourage airflow and prevent mould. Exhaust fans aren’t mandatory, but periodic venting helps with humidity control and air exchange.

Should I use a dome, and how do I manage humidity?

Use a dome for clones, especially early on. Clones like high humidity early, seedlings prefer moderate levels. Gradually reduce humidity over time and vent the tent to avoid condensation or stagnant air.

Why are my clones struggling or leaves curling?

Common causes are too much light, airflow, or environmental swings. Start with dimmed light, gentle air, steady warmth, and use a dome to stabilize conditions. Avoid overwatering and keep medium lightly moist.

Why are my seedlings stretching under the light?

Stretching often means the light is too dim or too far away. Bring it slightly closer or increase brightness gradually. 6500K light supports compact growth when intensity is right.

Why is humidity too high or too low in the tent?

Too humid: overwatering, too much heat, or poor venting. Too dry: dry room air or strong airflow. Adjust the heat setpoint, add a dome, reduce airflow, or vent more frequently to balance it.

Why isn't my heat mat working properly?

Check if the probe is seated correctly near the tray base. Misplaced or damaged probes often cause the mat to run too hot or not at all. Make sure setpoint and hysteresis are set correctly.

Can I run this setup safely overnight and water inside the tent?

Yes — as long as electrics are elevated, cords use drip loops, and power boards aren’t overloaded. Watering inside is fine as long as drivers and plugs stay dry and off the liner floor.

How do I clean the tent and LED between grows?

Turn off and unplug everything. Wipe the LED gently (don’t soak it), vacuum or wipe the tent, and clean the floor liner. Use a mild cleaner and let all surfaces dry fully before restarting.

Is the Pro Grow Combo good value and how should I approach my first grow?

Yes — it saves time and avoids mismatched gear. For best results: use a dome, run gentle light, keep root zone warm, avoid overwatering, and prioritize stability over chasing “perfect” numbers on day one.
