Malted Barley (Growth Hormones & IAA)

Malted Barley is grain has been sprouted and dried. It is abundant in a wide range of vital nutrients, including as potassium, phosphorus, nitrogen, and many different trace minerals & enzymes. Malted barley is renowned for its abilty to enhance soil fertility by introducing enzymes & proteins which act as catalysts in the soil to speed up the decay of organic matter (nutrients).

The enzymes found in malted barley are advantageous for living soil. These enzymes aid in the breakdown of organic matter, facilitating the easier absorption of nutrients by plants. The growth of beneficial microorganisms in the soil is also encouraged by the enzymes, which can enhance the breakdown of their food sources. Malted barley's enzymes can also improve soil aeration and water retention, which can promote more favourable plant growth in general.

The diverse beneficial microbes occupying our malted barley are a high source of the auxin indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), which helps plants promote cell division and elongation.

Can be used as a source of ectomycorrhizal fungi for perennial plants.

Use at 1/2-1 cup per square meter under a mulch layer.
Use 1/2 cup per 30L of potting soil.
