Description

Optic Foliar SWITCH stimulates flower initiation in plants by preventing and combating key stress factors that can delay the formation of blossom set.

By utilizing SWITCH during the first 2 weeks of flowering, plants will begin to trigger blooms earlier with tighter nodes.

This will ensure that plants will begin to form flower sites and maximize flower growth.
Using SWITCH assures no loss in growth, quality or yield. Maximize yields by using OVERGROW during the early growth stage and through the flowering stage.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Optic Foliar Switch and what does it do?

Optic Foliar Switch is a foliar spray designed to kick-start early flowering, tighten node spacing, and reduce the risk of stress-related hermaphroditing. It helps plants transition into bloom faster and more smoothly.

Can Optic Foliar Switch prevent hermaphrodite traits and stress-related issues?

Yes—it's commonly used to reduce the chance of male parts forming due to light leaks, timer issues, heat, or other stressors. But it won’t fix bad genetics or replace proper grow room setup. Always correct underlying problems.

When should I apply Optic Foliar Switch during flower?

Apply in the first two weeks of bloom for best results. Many growers use 2–3 sprays, about 10 days apart. It can also be used later if stress signs appear or as a preventative, even in stable conditions.

Can Optic Foliar Switch speed up flowering or reduce stretch?

Some growers report faster flower set and less stretch, which can shave time off the cycle. Results vary based on genetics, environment, and application timing.

How do I properly mix and use Optic Foliar Switch?

Do not dilute with water. Add 10 mL of Optic Foliar Transport to 1L of Switch, shake vigorously, and spray within 30 minutes. Discard leftovers—don’t store mixed solution. Never mix with other products.

What’s the best way to spray Optic Foliar Switch?

Use a fine-mist sprayer to lightly coat both sides of leaves—don’t drench or spray to runoff. Shake well before spraying. Mist coverage improves uptake and avoids spotting or stress.

When is the best time and environment to spray Optic Foliar Switch?

Spray in cool, low-light conditions—early morning or just before lights off. Ideal temps are 60–75°F. Ensure strong airflow and avoid spraying in high humidity or under intense light.

Should I reduce nutrients when using Optic Foliar Switch?

Yes—lower your feed strength or water around spray days. This helps reduce stress and avoids stacking too many variables, especially during the transition phase.

Can I use Optic Foliar Switch in all grow styles and on different plants?

Yes—it’s effective in soil, coco, hydro, and can be used on flowering ornamentals and edible crops. For outdoor use, avoid spraying during full sun or just before rain.

Is Optic Foliar Switch safe and will it leave residue?

It’s considered safe when used as directed, with a 24-hour withholding period. It’s designed to leave no problematic residue and is suitable for post-harvest compliance.

What if my plants are already stressed or showing leaf burn?

Avoid spraying if your plants are severely nutrient-burned or under extreme stress. Fix root-zone issues first. Switch is a support tool—not a fix for heavily damaged plants.

What sizes of Optic Foliar Switch are available?

Dr Greenthumbs stocks 1L and 4L sizes. 1L is great for small grows or trials, while 4L offers better value for larger gardens or multiple cycles.

How should I store Optic Foliar Switch?

Store it sealed in a cool, dark place. Shake well before each use—even before mixing with Transport—to ensure consistent performance.

Can Optic Foliar Switch be used outdoors?

Yes—just spray during cooler hours and avoid spraying in full sun or before rain. Follow the same misting guidelines as indoors to prevent stress or residue.

What are the most common mistakes with Optic Foliar Switch?

Top mistakes include diluting with water, skipping Transport, spraying in hot conditions, over-misting to runoff, and using it while plants are already under heavy stress.
